My Common Sense Weight Loss Routine
This has been a really interesting year for me. I’ve lost my job and I’ve had some great weight fluctuations. What started out on a bad note has ended on a positive one.
Unfortunately, the company I work for went out of business last year. I was left in a situation where I couldn’t find a job, so I spent most of my time online, pursuing some hobbies and looking for jobs. Unfortunately, I gained a lot of weight during this time.
I was confused by this. I generally don’t eat too badly, though I do sneak in a few treats here and there. I hadn’t changed my eating habits though. The fact that I wasn’t as active all day caused the weight gain.
Fortunately, I’ve turned things completely around. I’ve lost so much weight and I have some great results to show for it. Most importantly, I feel better than I have in years.
First, I cut out all soft drinks from my diet. I no longer drink sodas, whether they’re diet sodas or regular sodas. I believe that both are bad for your health in their own ways.
I didn’t stop at sodas though. I decided to eliminate any foods from my diet that had cane sugar or artificial sweeteners. I would get my sweet fix from fruits, and I really came to enjoy them.
Next, I make it a point to run at least 4 times weekly. I really try for 5 or 6 when I can, but 4 should do the job, especially if you aim for a faster speed each time.
Finally, I needed to cut down on the fat in my diet and decided to do away with anything fried. Harder than it sounds, because you’ll really feel great once you stop.
While I still haven’t found a job, I’ve been writing about mailboxes made of copper and reviewing brass mailboxes on sale.
