			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Organic should mean organic right? Well theoretically yet, but there seems to be major discrepancies on the labels of supposed organic meat.</p>
<p>The whole point of organic produce is that you are eating natural food as nature intended; no additives or pesticides and farmed by trainer farmers who know their stuff. You should be able to buy this and feed it to your loved ones with a completely clear conscience.</p>
<p>So if they can do such a good job with the fruit and vegetables, how come that the meat side of it is, shall we say, a grey area?</p>
<p>I would certainly have to think twice about paying extra for organic fish. Even though the USDA reckons that all wild fish is organic, what if that fish has chemicals such as mercury in its flesh?</p>
<p>The official regulations regarding the welfare and living condition of the animals that organic meat comes from also seems open to debate.</p>
<p>Yes, we all grateful that the guidelines for their feed is so strict. It is very reassuring that we aren&#8217;t consuming their antibiotics, or hormones etc but I personally want to know about their living conditions.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t think that organic produce is the top of the tree and there is nothing better, there is. Look out for welfare labels, such as from the RSPCA and others such as biodynamic certificates. You know the welfare of these animals has been taken care of and that they have lived in clean, sanitary conditions.</p>
<p>The authorities have been tip-toeing around these issues long enough, we as consumers have the right to get them addressed immediately. The areas such as the fish, living conditions and welfare need strict guideline putting in place. Secondly, we also have a right to know that organic means organic, and not some authoritative representation of it.</p>

Traditionally, people have not regarded food as a resource, but more of a right. However, the populations of most Third World countries are forced to be more realistic.</p>
<p>We in the West are constantly bombarded by implorations for contributions by charities and I think that many people are getting a bit weary of it. I also think that people are suspicious of the charity workers&#8217; operating cost and fees, especially after the MPs&#8217; expenses scandal in the UK. So, what can you do, if you want to make some sort of contribution?</p>
<p>I think that the best thing one can do is not to squander food. Not squandering or wasting food will reduce the amount you have to purchase, which will leave more on the supermarket shelves. This will augment supply, which will decrease prices. Therefore, by not buying so much food, you will be saving money and reducing the cost of what you do purchase. Can not be bad, can it?</p>
<p>So, here are a few of my favourite money-saving tips.</p>
<p>Funnel &#8211; I have bought a few funnels in my time, but they always seemed to have fallen to the back of the cupboard when I needed one. I do not buy them anymore. As an alternative, I cut the top 9&#8243; off the top of a plastic cola bottle. When I am done with it, I throw it away, particularly if I used it for pouring oil.</p>
<p>Microwave &#8211; sometimes, when you open the microwave oven door, a hint of the last meal comes out. Instead of spending money on cleaners or what-not, put a slice of lemon in a saucer of water and microwave it for three minutes after every time you use it.</p>
<p>Cabbage &#8211; boiling cabbage really smells! However, there are three ways of hiding the smell without using air freshener. The first way is to put a slice of lemon in the cabbage water as it cooks. The second way is to boil a small pan of vinegar next to the cooking cabbage and the third is to place a sieve over the cooking cabbage and put a round of stale bread in it. These techniques work because the lemon cancels the smell of the cabbage as does the vinegar and the stale bread absorbs the smell.</p>
<p>Fish Fingers &#8211; it is not nice to have smelly fingers after preparing fish, onions or garlic. As an alternative to washing and washing your hands, rub a little lemon juice on them and rinse for immediate relief.</p>
<p>Sponge &#8211; a tablespoon of hot water beaten into a sponge mixture at the last minute will greatly enhance the rise and the texture of the cake.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s simple, eat less to weigh less, right? Changing ones eating habit is only a temporary fix at best, more needs to be done. Learn how to eat &#8211; a good balanced diet and be prepared to follow it the rest of your life. Learn to eat moderately and choose those foods that are good for you.</p>
<p>Consult your family doctor or consult with a nutritionist. You will soon learn that fad diets are potentially dangerous to your well being. They are a waste of time and should be avoided. This will take an effort on your part, but will be well worth it.</p>
<p>Eat a sensible diet and stick to it. This involves some sacrifice and discipline on your part, but you can do it. Fast foods are not an option, stay away from them. They contain hundreds of fat calories, and the sacrifice will be worth it.</p>
<p>Most experts concur that not gaining weight is the best solution, however, most people are not even aware of a serious weight gain, until 15, 20, 30 lbs, and already out of control. Now the frenzy starts, and most resort to fad diets, and inevitable failure.</p>
<p>At the same time, nutritional requirements of protein, carbohydrate and yes, even fat, must be met. You also need minimum daily requirements of vitamins and minerals, as well as plenty of water and fiber. Starvation just won&#8217;t work, and it can lead to serious eating disorders.</p>
<p>Lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels reduce the risk of heart disease, and stable blood sugar minimizes the risk of diabetes, all are definite benefits of eating a good healthy diet.</p>
<p>Some say, the closest thing we have to the fountain of youth is exercise, and many agree. It can change how you look, your daily performances, and how you feel. All positive benefits of exercise.</p>
<p>To get results, with any exercise program, you need to do it! Set aside a time, each day, that is good for your schedule and use it for your exercise program. This will take some self-discipline, prioritizing, and persistence, on your part. Soon you will experience the benefits of your exercise program, more energy, and you will be sleeping better at night.</p>
<p>When anxious to loose weight, as fast as possible, you may exercise without the proper guidance, and this can be risky. Exercise should be gradual, start slowly and work you way to a more strenuous campaign. You risk injury and failure, by doing too much too soon. With a good comprehensive exercise program you will reach your desired goal safely.</p>
<p>The cost of gym equipment and a health club membership represent another drawback to the active approach to weight loss. Fortunately, it&#8217;s not the cost of the equipment that gets results. Setting up a simple, economical home gym will also help overcome some of the time limitations by cutting out travel to and from the gym. With a small initial investment you can add convenience to the list of why an exercise program can be so effective.</p>
<p>A balance food program will enable your body to stay healthy throughout your weight loss program, and gives your body the nutrients, for the energy it needs, to aid you in your exercise program.</p>
